Working together for the environment
This year's Good Week at WERNS focuses on the collaboration with the ONE TREE PLANTED organisation. This nonprofit organisation is dedicated to global reforestation and has achieved impressive results since its inception. With over 92.7 million trees planted in more than 80 countries, they have positively impacted climate, biodiversity, and habitats. During this Week WERNS donates 5 trees with every order. This means that our customers not only receive a piece of uniqueness for their living spaces but also actively contribute to reforestation and environmental protection.
About One Tree Planted
ONE TREE PLANTED goes beyond simply planting trees. Each of their projects undergoes a rigorous review and approval process. Local planting partners create detailed proposals that are carefully scrutinized before planting begins. By working with reliable planting partners and closely monitoring projects, they ensure that each sapling has significant value and the potential for positive change.
Why trees are important to the environment
One Tree Planted Trees help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat to over 80% of the world's terrestrial biodiversity. Forests provide jobs to over 1.6 billion people, absorb harmful carbon from the atmosphere, and are key ingredients in 25% of all medicines. Have you ever taken an Aspirin? What reforestation is
One Tree Planted Reforestation can be defined as the process of replanting trees in areas that have been affected by natural disturbances like wildfires, drought, and insect and disease infestations — and unnatural ones like logging, mining, agricultural clearing, and development. This can mean anything from supporting natural regeneration in an area that has been degraded to planting ecologically appropriate tree seedlings after forest fires.

In the previous year, your support and enthusiasm during Good Week led to the donation of around 2.000 trees through our partnership with ONE TREE PLANTED which is the equivalent of three football pitches!
